The Ashes Barn, Staffordshire - Craig & Michael’s wedding day
Craig and Michael chose the Ashes Barn and Country House for their beautiful wedding day, and I totally understand why! The Ashes Barn is surrounded by some of the most stunning countryside views. You might be lucky enough to spot the venues two majestic highland cows! This was one of the reasons Craig and Michael chose this venue… yep, I’d totally do that too! The old brick barns surround a beautiful courtyard perfect for you and your guests to have a drink and enjoy the day.
Getting ready together at The Ashes Barn
Craig and Michael chose to get ready together in their honeymoon suite at The Ashes Barn. I loved this! Seeing them both full of excitement and nerves, then being able to calm each other was so intimate and emotional. I think more couples should get ready together!
The positive that came from postponing
Like so many couples, Craig and Michael had to move their wedding twice. It all worked out for the best because it meant they had their beautiful son with them on their wedding day! It was so lovely to see this happy little family have the best day ever at The Ashes Barn. This cheeky little chap wasn’t the biggest fan of my camera, but he had so much fun running around all the guests, eating crisps off the floor, total legend!
Craig and Michael’s garden ceremony at The Ashes Barn
Craig and Michael’s ceremony changed on the day and this definitely worked out for the better! The sun was shining and The Ashes Barn team created a beautiful outdoor ceremony for the grooms. Their was so much emotion and love, when Craig and Michael said I do was one of the most amazing moments i’ve had the pleasure to photograph.
The fun of a singing waiter at The Ashes Barn
Michael surprised Craig with a singing waiter and boy did this go down well! Every guest was singing along and created a sea of handkerchief dancing. The smiles and laughter were a delight to see and photograph. I would definitely recommend a singing waiter if you have guests who love a good sing song! He made it so much fun for everyone!
What a bloody gorgeous wedding day!
Craig and Michael’s wedding was always going to be a big for me. Craig and I have known each other since we were kids, back when he was an Aston Villa ball boy and pretended to like football. Although we haven’t kept in touch, being with them felt as though no time had past and we all got on like a house on fire!
Craig and Michael faced some challenges on the day but did it with a smile on their face and managed to have the best day ever! There was so much fun and love at this wedding, it was an absolute pleasure to be the one to capture it for this amazing couple!
A huge thanks to The Ashes Barns for helping this couple have the most beautiful wedding they could have asked for.
Here are a few more sneak peaks from Craig and Michael’s wedding at the Ashes Barns. I cannot wait to finish this gallery, it’s an absolute beaut!
