A Hackney wedding to remember - Renee & Martin

Bride and groom cheering in confetti outside Hackney Town Hall

Renee and Martin's wedding day was nothing short of magical. Seeing two families with an ocean between them come together to celebrate Renee & Martin was a beautiful thing to capture!

The day started with Renee & her squad getting ready in a beautiful Hackney apartment. The sun was shining, the bubbly was flowing and Renee & her friends were bubbling with excitement. Renee’s bridal look was that of vintage meets modern dreams!

Renee & Martin chose to do a first look together and have their couple portraits on route to Hackney Hall. We began our wander at Hackney Downs Park and then ventured to Hackney Town Hall, stopping off at significant spots to the beautiful couple.

They first met at Hackney Picture House, so it only seemed right that we did some wedding portraits at this spot.

A Picture-Perfect Ceremony at Hackney Town Hall

The time come for Renee & Martin to head to the iconic Hackney Town Hall for their ceremony. The historic architecture provided a stunning backdrop for their vows, with the elegant art deco interiors adding a touch of vintage glamour. As a wedding photographer, capturing moments in such a beautiful setting is always a delight, and this day was no exception. Renee was beaming with excitement and joy as she walked down the aisle towards Martin. The pair were so happy and in love, it was one of the sweetest ceremonies!

Now it’s time to drench the steps of Hackney Town Hall in confetti!

As the newlyweds emerged from the grand doors of Hackney Town Hall, a joyful explosion of colour greeted them. Friends and family lined the steps, beaming with excitement, and armed with handfuls of vibrant confetti. The moment the couple took their first steps as a married pair, the air was filled with a riot of multicoloured confetti swirling around them like a joyful kaleidoscope.

The bride's laughter mixed with the groom's delighted grin, their happiness infectious. Each step through the confetti looked as though they were walking through rainbow. The iconic Hackney Town Hall, standing proudly in the background, added a touch of historic elegance to this lively and fun-filled moment.

After the newlyweds had some fun during their group photos on the Hackney Town Hall steps, they wandered off to their guests outside Hackney Town Hall for an impromptu picnic spot, clinking glasses of bubbly under the London sky. With everyone gathered around, the scene was a delightful mix of elegance and casual fun. The bride and groom, still glowing from their confetti walk, shared a toast with their loved ones, laughter and cheers echoing off the historic building. The unmistakable excitement of a Hackney wedding filled the air.

All Aboard the London Double Decker Bus

After the heartfelt ceremony, the celebration continued with a quintessentially London twist: a ride on a classic red double-decker bus. Watching guests climb aboard, laughing and chatting, was a highlight of the day. The bus ride through Hackney's vibrant streets not only offered fantastic photo opportunities but also set a lively and joyous tone for the rest of the day.

a relaxed wedding Reception at The Clapton Hart Pub

The journey ended at The Clapton Hart Pub, in Clapton London where the reception was held. This charming pub, known for its warm and inviting atmosphere, was the perfect place for friends and family to gather and celebrate. The rustic decor didn’t need much to make it look awesome, but the addition of flowers on the tables definitely gave a personal touch.

It’s time to party the night away at Clapton Hart Pub in London

After a relaxing drink and yummy food, it was time for the heartfelt speeches that had the room in hysterics. Then it was time to party which was kicked off with Renee & Martin’s jaw dropping first dance. Renee’s dress twirling as they danced made me so happy! Everyone had the best time dancing their hearts out, which made for an unforgettable evening.
