Joe & Lottie’s relaxed & untraditional Birmingham wedding
Lottie & Joe's Relaxed and Untraditional Birmingham Wedding
Hey everyone! I’m so excited to share the story of Lottie and Joe’s laid-back and totally untraditional wedding day in Birmingham. This day was packed with love, laughter, and a whole lot of fun! I love seeing my Butties do their wedding their way and Joe & Lottie truly wrote the book on this!
A Chill Start at The Edgbaston House
Lottie and Joe kicked off their day in the coolest way possible—getting ready together at The Edgbaston House. This boutique hotel, with its stylish rooms and relaxed vibe, was the perfect place for their low-key morning. They enjoyed a no stress, super chilled morning and this made for some of the sweetest moments i’ve captured on my Butties wedding morning.
Intimate “I Do’s” at Birmingham Register Office
With just family and their closest friends by their side, Lottie and Joe said their heartfelt vows at Birmingham Register Office. The intimate ceremony was filled the biggest smiles on Joe & Lotties faces and tears from everyone else! It was a truly special moment for everyone present. After the couple said their I Do’s we all moved to the courtyard for my fave photo… CONFETTI!
Cocktails and Canapés at Cafe Love Life, Digbeth
After the ceremony, the celebration moved to Cafe Love Life in Digbeth. This vibrant cafe was the perfect spot for cocktails and canapés. The laid-back atmosphere allowed everyone to mingle and enjoy the delicious middle eastern treats. The vibes here were so relaxed and joyful—just like Lottie and Joe!
Fun Portraits Around Digbeth
We took advantage of the awesome street art and unique spots in Digbeth for some fun portraits. One of the highlights was popping into NQ64 for some arcade game portraits. This is one of Lottie and Joe’s favourite date night spots, so we just had to go in for some photos! The staff were amazing and let us wander around to get some insane portraits like the one above!
It’s time to Party at The Bond, Digbeth
As the sun set, it was time for everyone to start the party at The Bond in Digbeth. This is one of my fave Digbeth venues! It’s such a great space for everyone to dance, laugh, and celebrate. The night was made even more special with a surprise guest appearance by a Michael Jackson impersonator (who was one of Lottie’s closest friends) who had everyone, including the Bride Lottie, in stitches as she bust her moves on the dancefloor.
Delicious Food and Doughnuts
The Bond served up some incredible food, keeping everyone fueled for partying the night away! But let’s not forget the amazing doughnuts by Flatdoughnuts! These were so good (I even had a little try myself) and seeing Joe & Lottie tuck into one, I knew I had to get this hilarious photo!
Final Thoughts on Joe & Lotties amazing Birmingham wedding
Lottie and Joe’s wedding was a perfect mix of love, fun, and Birmingham charm. From the relaxed morning at The Edgbaston House to the party at The Bond, every moment was a true reflection of their unique and joyful spirits.
