Johnny & Nancy’s alternative London wedding at Old Marylebone and Refettorio Felix

In a city that breathes history and tradition, Johnny and Nancy broke the traditional wedding rule book with their alternative London wedding at Refettorio Felix. Their colorful, party-filled celebration took place in one of London's most unique wedding venues, breaking away from the ordinary to create a day that was as unique and spirited as the couple themselves.

Johnny & Nancy had the most colourful and alternative London wedding your eyes will see!

Nancy and I got on since day dot! Our first zoom chat felt more like a catch up with a friend. Her vision for her wedding day was so my vibe, it’s the wedding I’d have myself! When your bride loves pink and leopard print as much as you do, you know it’s going to be a banger!

Nancy and Johnny created such a fun and epic wedding in London. From saying their I Do’s at The Old Marylebone to partying the night away at Refettorio Felix, you could tell they thought of every detail of their day!

Nancy & Johnny’s big day had finally arrived, and the air at No.1 The Mansions in London was buzzing with excitement. Nancy had a relaxed morning getting ready with those who mattered most—her parents; her two cheeky children and bridal squad. The bridal suite transformed into a hub of laughter and Nancy singing her little heart out to musicals or Take That! The atmosphere was far from the traditional wedding jitters; it was more of a lively pre-celebration party.

As the clock ticked closer to the ceremony, the energy in the apartment only intensified. Nancy and her daughter has such a special moment as she helped her mom get into her elegant and modern wedding dress from Rewritten. The excitement and nerves were bubbling as everyone was getting ready to celebrate in style!

No.1 The Mansions in London was the perfect setting for Nancy and her squad to get ready for the most epic day.

Nancy and her squad’s cab journey from No.1 The Mansions to her ceremony at The Old Marylebone Town Hall was somewhat an adventure. With one cab’s tyre blowing out on the way, Nancy’s driver came to the rescue as we all crammed in the one taxi to get Nancy to her wedding on time. Nothing like a bit of excitement on route to say I do!

Johnny & Nancy’s Ceremony at The Old Marylebone Town Hall

Johnny and Nancy began their wedding day at The Old Marylebone Town Hall, a historic venue steeped in elegance and charm. The couple opted for a legal ceremony in this iconic setting, exchanging vows in a room adorned with timeless decor. Against the backdrop of classic architecture, Johnny and Nancy's ceremony was so heartfelt as a close friend and Nancy’s daughter gave readings that brought the room to laughter and tears. Who said legal ceremonies can’t be personal?!

Johnny and Nancy, known for their vibrant personalities, added a twist to the traditional proceedings. Instead of the usual flower petals, guests were given bags of the most colorful confetti to shower the newlyweds as they exited the town hall. The explosion of bright colours perfectly captured the essence of Johnny and Nancy's wedding vibes.

The unexpected rollercoaster of a Journey to Refettorio Felix

After the ceremony at Old Marylebone, everyone embarked on a journey to Refettorio Felix, their chosen venue for the main celebrations. Opting for an open-top bus ride through the bustling streets of London, Johnny and Nancy wanted to give their wedding party was an unforgettable scenic journey through London. However, the bus driver had other plans! The scenic journey felt more like a formula one race to the finish line! Not the expected journey Johnny and Nancy had planned, but it made for a fun journey none the less!

Refettorio Felix, located in the heart of London, served as the most beautiful canvas for Johnny and Nancy's colorful wedding. Known for its unique charm and commitment to community, Refettorio Felix is an alternative wedding venue that perfectly aligns with the couple's values.

The venue, originally a community center, was transformed into a pink disco ball heaven for the wedding. Tables adorned with vibrant floral arrangements created by Nancy’s friend and amazing florist The Wild Society. The room was brought to life by Johnny and friends and family who all helped to create such a fun space to party the night away in. Refettorio Felix provided the perfect backdrop for a celebration that reflected Johnny and Nancy's love for life.

Johnny and Nancy infused every aspect of their wedding with personality and fun. Their alternative London wedding showcased some amazing food from catering friends, including the couples fave, oysters for canapés. Wedding guests sipped on personalised cocktails as they arrived and the room came to life with laughter and love for Johnny & Nancy

We decided to wander down to Earl’s Court Underground for Johnny and Nancy’s couples' portraits. The hustle and bustle of the city provided the perfect backdrop for their photos.

We stumbled upon a hidden gem - a community graffiti art space that doubled as the most perfect Butty backdrop. Surrounded by the kaleidoscope of colors and bold strokes of creativity, Johnny and Nancy had a blast as they laughed their little socks off popping a bottle of bubbly!

Earl's Court and the graffiti art space became the perfect backdrops for Johnny and Nancy's portraits.

The speeches at Refettorio Felix.

Johnny and Nancy's wedding speeches were a perfect reflection of their unique personalities and their journey together. The speeches would create a roar of laughter, followed by tears (especially Nancy telling us all about Johnny’s love for her daughter!) Speeches are always such a special moment!

As the night continued, filled with laughter and joy as the music brought everyone to the dancefloor to party the night away. It was evident that this alternative London wedding was a true celebration of love, friendship, and the wonderful chaos that comes with blending two worlds into one.
